Marshalltown Community School District Art Show

The Marshalltown Community School District (MCSD) invites the community to celebrate student creativity at the annual MCSD Art Show on Saturday, March 7, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Marshalltown Arts & Civic Center (MACC), 709 South Center Street. The event is free and open to the public.

Held in conjunction with Youth Art Month, the one-day exhibit will feature approximately 400 pieces of student artwork representing all grade levels across the district. Each MCSD art teacher carefully selects standout works from their classrooms, highlighting the talent, creativity, and artistic growth of students.

In addition to the exhibit, a committee made up of MCSD Central Office staff and School Board members will select a collection of exceptional pieces to receive special recognition. These award-winning artworks will be identified with gold stickers during the opening reception. Following the event, the recognized pieces will be framed and displayed at the MCSD Central Office.

The MCSD Art Show provides an opportunity for students, families, and community members to come together to celebrate the importance of arts education and the impressive accomplishments of young artists throughout the district.
