He was honored for being a state qualifier in 2024 as an upperclassman and achieving a 3.50-3.74 cumulative GPA. Way to go, Lucas!
Marshalltown boys' track competed at the Central College High School Boys Meet in Pella yesterday.
Some of the top results:
- Tre Brooks placed 3rd in the 200m (23.74) & 6th in the 60m (7.29)
- John Moellers finished 4th in the 1600m (4:47.90)
- Parker Gooding placed 7th in the 1600m (4:53.32)
- Preston Johnson was 8th in the 800m (2:16.34)
- Gatleel Joar placed 5th in the 60m hurdles (8.93) & 9th in the 200m (24.60)
- Aiden Smitherman recorded a 9th-place finish in the long jump (

Marshalltown finished 2nd in the 4x800 (8:40.95), 3rd in the 4x400 (3:46.40), 7th in the 4x200 (1:43.03)
